Govt. College of Education Yavatmal was established on 15th June 1968. Since last 35 years college is imparting qualitative training and valuable service in the field of Teacher Education. College has B++ Accreditation by NAAC, Banglore. The College provides Pre-Service & In-Service training. College is running Regular as well as Vacation B.Ed & M.Ed Course. The College is affiliated to Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University for Regular Courses and YCMOU, Nashik for Vacation Courses.

The College has made progress consistently, quietly and in conformity with any standards set for training education in its entire spheres-physical, infrastructure, functional, moral and spiritual activities.
